The Arthur’s Pass road is the shortest, highest and most spectacular route across to the West Coast and offers some of the best scenery to be found on any New Zealand road.     Not just a journey, the Milford Road is a destination in itself with the scenic highway featuring spectacular alpine scenery. Be sure to stop at Eglington Valley to appreciate the beauty and sheer scale of the landscape. View the spectacular reflections of the Earl Mountains at the Mirror Lakes and keep an eye out for Kea, New Zealand’s cheeky mountain parrot on the way.

Explore and learn about the ever-changing glacial landscape and listen to the huge ice-face melting in this peaceful glacial lake.
